Additional Chaperone Trainings offered
Two sessions of Chaperone Training and Review of the New State Assessment are offered in the cafeteria at Woodfill Elementary this week. The first will be offered Thursday, October 18 at 6:30pm. The second will be offered at 2pm on Friday, October 19.
HHS students raise funds for breast cancer survivors
Highlands High School’s student-run store, Bluebird Apparel and Merchandise (BAM), junior and senior Powder Puff representatives and Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) are teaming up to host the 3rd Annual “PINK OUT” game.

 Report cards are available to be picked up in the office between 8-11 and 1:00 to 3:00.

Yearbooks can be picked up at the office on Monday and Tuesday, June 11 and 12 from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM.

Moyer Wax Museum
Moyer fourth graders presented their wax museum exhibits on Thursday, February 2.   Famous Kentuckians such as Abe Lincoln, Zachary Taylor, Jim Bunning, Cris Collinsworth, and many more were portrayed.  
Moyer's School Newspaper a Hit with All!
The Moyer school newspaper is a hit with students, parents, and staff members.  This newspaper is published by an after school journalism club.  
Moyer Parent Orientation/Open House Night Moyer Parent Orientation
The Moyer Parent Orientation/Open House night will be Tuesday, September 6 starting at 6:00 PM in the Moyer gym.  Classroom presentations will be at 6:30 and 7:00.  Kindergarten and 2nd through 5th grade parents should attend.  Please remember that this is a parent only event.

Moyer Parent/Student Orientation Nights
New student orientation will be Tuesday, August 16 at 7:00 PM in the Moyer library. Students and parents are encouraged to attend this evening event.

Kindergarten Orientation will be Thursday, August 17 at 6:00 PM for All Day and the half-day morning class and 7:00 PM for the PM afternoon class.  Students and parents should attend this evening.  The focus of this night will be primarily on the students.  Parents will attend our Parent Information night on Tuesday, September 6.

First Grade Orientation will be Thursday, August 17 at 6:00 PM.  This night will be for parents only.  First grade parents will not attend the Parent Information Night on Tuesday, September 6.  

Moyer/Bank of Kentucky Minbank
The Bank of Kentucky is proud to offer the Minibank Program at Ruth Moyer Elementary for the 2011 - 12 school year.  This program is a great way to teach children the importance and responsibility of saving for the future, while at the same time gaining experience of doing their own banking.

Moyer Second Graders Assist with Underground Railroad Project
Moyer 4th Grade Wax Museum Rescheduled for Tuesday, January 25 25
Due to inclement weather the 4th Grade Kentucky Wax Museum will be rescheduled for Tuesday, January 25.  The Museum will be open at 1:00 and again at 6:00 PM.

Moyer Students Celebrate Veterans Day
On Thursday, November 11 Ruth Moyer's second grade students hosted over 30 veterans for their annual Veteran's Day Program.  Students in second grade invited family and friends who served in the armed services to attend the program.  The program included patriotic songs, poems, and personal essays on freedom and what it means to be a hero. Lieutenant Sean Donelan was this year's guest speaker and he shared experiences from his service with the Air Force.

Hearts for Haiti Hearts for Haiti
Ruth Moyer Elementary Student Council is organizing a donation drive for the earthquake victims in Haiti.  Students and staff are encouraged to donate one dollar to the American Red Cross. Students that donate will have a heart with their name placed on it in the lobby of Moyer.  This fundraiser is Wednesday, January 27 and Thursday, January 28.

Cereal Box Drive! 1,434 Cereal Boxes Collected!

Our total number of boxes of cereal that we collected from the three elementary schools was 1,434!  All boxes have been delivered to the Henry Hosea House in Newport, Kentucky.
