HIGHLANDS FITNESS CENTER
As part of the building renovations at Highlands High School in recent years, the district took on the vision of developing a full-fledged Life Fitness Center at Highlands High School (located in the old small gym)
The Fitness Center vision is to:
Serve as the core learning laboratory for our Health and PE curriculum
Provide a first class training facility for our student athletes
Provide overall health and wellness among our students, school staff and the community at large.
The Fitness Center (4300 sq. ft. plus) offers a wide variety of equipment and amenities to the entire community of Fort Thomas. We offer a friendly and family environment in which to workout locally within minutes of your home. Here are some of our amenities:
(16) stationary Cardio machines / Treadmills, Stationary Bikes and Ellipticals
(3) Power racks / Free weights
Complete Circuit of Paramount resistance machines
Dumbbells ranging from 5lbs. – 100lbs. / Weight Plates
Assorted Medicine Balls / Kettle Bells ranging from 10lbs – 60lbs. / Resistance Bands
Indoor Artificial Turf w/ Sleds and Plyo boxes
Locker Rooms with changing areas and showers
Flat Screen TV’s / Sound System
Please feel free to stop by during our Community hours of operation and the Fitness Center staff will be happy to give you a tour and show you around. Give it a try and workout the first time on us with no obligation.
Fitness Center Community Hours of operations: Mon – Thu: 5:30pm – 8:30pm / Sat: 9:00am – 1:00pm
Fitness Center Membership Rates: Students: $20 annual / Community: $100 annual / Senior Citizens: $60 annual
(Annual memberships are prorated to the school year 7/1 – 6/30)
How to Become a Member:
Students – Complete the Student Membership Form and return with payment to Kacie Bryant in the Highlands Athletic Department Office or take a completed form and payment directly to the Highlands Fitness Center during community hours.
Community Members – Complete the Community Membership Form and return with payment to the Highlands Fitness Center during community hours.
Cash or check are the acceptable forms of payment. Checks should be made payable to Fort Thomas Independent Schools.
