This course focuses on algebraic and trigonometric concepts, and previews calculus in working with functions and intuitive notions of limits. Students will build an understanding of many types of functions including linear, quadratic, polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric. Students will study operations and transformations of functions, as well as their applications to real-world problems. In addition, students will study traditional topics of trigonometry including right triangle and unit circle trigonometry, fundamental identities, and trigonometric equations. Students will also study arithmetic and geometric sequences and series, as well as selected topics in probability.
