Aurasma at JES
Aurasma is an Augmented Reality app that you can download to a tablet or smartphone. Click [here] to see the app for iOS and [here] for Android. When you see the image to the left near an object or display at Johnson, you can scan that object and view a video or see some other type of content.
Auras in Aurasma are often organized into channels, similiar to YouTube. A channel helps us keep our content private to our school. In order to view the content, you have to be following the channel. Look for directions posted around school that include a QR code. You have to scan the QR code one time so that you can follow the private channel. You will need to scan the QR Code with a QR code reader like Kaywa. Click [here] for iOS devices and [here] for Android devices.
Look for the information on this page to be updated as we add Aurasma galleries.
Augmented Reality School Tour
You can see an introduction to some of the major areas in our school as you walk through the building. Scan the QR code below with a QR Code reader like Kaywa, and it will open Aurasma and allow you to follow the channel. Or you can click [here] on your SmartPhone or Tablet to follow the channel.
Once in the building, you will be able to scan different features around the school to view an introductory video. Be sure specifically to look for the symbol at the entrance to the building, at the Annex, the Cafeteria, Gym, and there's a "hidden" aura on the playground. (*hint if you scan a piece of the playground equiptment you may be surprised!).
