http://www.lexingtoncatholic.com/apps/pages/index.jsp?uREC_ID=416902&type=d&pREC_ID=911753

We are in the small school division.

If you are coming to to Saturday's 40th Lexington Catholic Invitational at the Kentucky Horse Park, glad to have you. It is my hope that your team has a great meet. Here are some final notes for your information:

The course will be open on TODAY. My crew and I hope to finish by 2 p.m. But the course will remain open.

ENTRIES and Packets -- Team packets are complete. No more additions. You may move runners from varsity to JV and vice versa. You don't have to do anything to do that. Packets can be picked put at the T-shirt sales tent in the Tent City paddock.

CHIPS and BIBS -- Runners must wear their assigned bib on the front of their singlet AND their corresponding chip on their shoe. If you do not plan on running all your runners in a race entered, please return your unused chip to the awards table, which will be near the finish corral. Please do that when your race is finished.

FINISH CORRAL -- Coaches, parents and friends need to stay out of the finish corral until runners exit the entire corral. Meet and medical officials will be collecting chips and insuring the well-being of runners. If you see a rope at the finish corral, don't cross it. It's there to protect runners. We will be policing this.

RACE OFFICIALS ARE – Gordon Bocock, Tim King, Tim Henderlight and Ron Wilson. Results and finish line by David Flaugher.

Meet volunteers are the parents of the runners of Lexington Catholic cross country 2017.  I’m bragging but they are a great group.

Music by Thomas Scally.

AWARDS -- To also ensure the safety of runners in the finish corral, individual awards will be given out at the awards table after each race is complete and those results have been posted. Team awards will also be available at the awards table when results have been posted. Complete awards are listed below. There is no formal awards ceremony.

RESULTS -- will be posted on the Budget box truck parked near the end of the finish corral. Fancy, I know.

PARKING AND ADMISSION -- I know I've posted this before but I wanted to remind everyone that the Kentucky Horse Park will charge $5 a car for parking at Saturday’s 40th Lexington Catholic Invitational.
Team buses and vans will not have to pay for parking. I encourage everyone to use team buses and vans.

The KHP -- not Lexington Catholic -- controls parking at our cross country meet. The KHP also charged for parking this year at the Franklin County Invitational and will do the same at the KHSAA State Championship on November 5.

Admission to LC's meet Saturday is still $5 for adults. Runners and coaches enter free of course. Admission enables LC to keep the meet running, pardon the pun

PINK PORTA-POTTY – ANYONE CAN USE A PINK PORTA-POTTY. We have 30 potties.

Fields look fast and the weather report looks good.

AWARDS --
In the four varsity high school races, individual race winners receive a statue and a short-sleeve “Meet champions” t-shirt (girls get choice of one small or medium; boys get choice of one medium or large); runners 2-30 receive medals.

·       In the two JV high school races, finishers 1-30 receive medals.

·       In the two middle school races, finishers 1-30 receive medals.

·       In the four varsity high school races, the winning team receives 10 short-sleeve “Meet champions” t-shirts. Boys get seven mediums and three larges. Girls get seven smalls and three mediums. NO TRADING FOR A LONG SLEEVE.

I will update this on Monday. We will have TWO boys and Girls varsity teams to allow runners who are vying for varsity top 10 spots to race with the top 7.

I have a few varsity teams listed. If we happen to win a race, the 10 T shirts will be given to the top 10 times on the team, not necessarily the 10 on team A
