Nikki Everett | Visual Arts Teacher
Fort Thomas Independent Schools
Moyer Elementary

Nikki Everett has been teaching visual arts at the elementary level for over 14 years in the Fort Thomas Schools. She is currently the full-time Visual Arts Specialist at Moyer where you can find her M-F in the new art room near the cafeteria entrance. In the art room, you will find students working on individualized projects through a program that teaches them to think like an artist. In this TAB program (Teaching for Artistic Behavior) students learn studio habits and work through the creative process. They will Explore, Design, Create, Reflect and Share their ideas and products over the course of each quarter.

Mrs. Nikki Everett graduated from NKU with a Bachelors of Art in Art Education for grades K-12 in 2003. Afterward, she attended the Art Academy of Cincinnati for her Masters Degree and then finished her degree at NKU in 2008, with a Masters in Liberal Studies. Her graduate thesis project was researching and designing an art program that teaches Social Justice through the Visual Arts. Additionally, she earned her Rank 1 certification from the KyEPSB in 2013. She is currently a member of the National Art Education Association and has presented at numerous national and state conferences.

During the 2017-2018 school year, she will be utilizing the help of Mrs. Joni Queen while she is on maternity leave from September to November. Mrs. Everett and her family are anxiously awaiting the arrival of baby #6 to the Everett household.
