I am a 1998 graduate of Highlands High School (I competed in Track, Cross Country and Soccer) I graduated from Northern Kentucky University in 2002 with a B.A. in Speech Communication/Journalism. During that time, I competed on the Track and Cross Country teams at NKU while on an athletic scholarship. After working in the business world for a few years, I went to graduate school and received my M.A.T (5-9 English/Communication) from NKU in 2007. I completed a Master's in Teacher Leadership at Eastern Kentucky University in 2016.
I am an avid runner/marathoner sponsored by Brooks Running Company's PACE ID Program, and have been coaching since 2002. I coached track and cross country at Highlands High School from 2002-2005, Northern Kentucky University from 2005-2006 and was the Head Coach at Thomas More College from 2007-2011. Currently I coach cross country and the girls' track team here at HHS.
I taught middle school Language Arts/Reading for 6 years at Camp Ernst Middle School in Boone County before coming to Fort Thomas Independent. This is my 13th year in the classroom.
