Master of Music Performance (Choral Conducting): Ohio University - Athens, OH

Currently, I direct three choirs at Highlands High School: Chamber Choir, Bel Canto, and the Highlandaires Chorale, as well as manage extracurrricular a cappella groups and a Men's Choir. I am also the Music Director for shows at HHS and teach AP Music Theory and Music Appreciation as dual credit courses with Northern Kentucky University. Previously, I was a graduate student at Ohio University, and was appointed director of the Ohio University Women's Chorale and Associate Conductor of the Singing Men of Ohio and University Singers. Before Highlands, I taught for four years in Canton, OH where I was the middle school choir director - responsible for 7 choirs in the 7th & 8th grades, and over 350+ students in those choirs combined! I also have been choir director at various churches throughout my life.

About me:

Other than music, I enjoy performing/watching Musical Theatre and other stage productions. I follow my teams with blind passion especially my alma mater - The Ohio University Bobcats, and the Cincinnati Reds. When I am done being a teacher for the day, I love being at home with my wife and kids, Cecilia, James, Augustine & Maris.
