Biography

I am Ron Rosel and have been teaching Engineering Technology for the past twenty three years.  I have eight years’ experience at the middle school and seventeen years at the high school. I have many experiences in manufacturing, construction, robotics and engineering field. Welcome to the homepage of the Highlands High and Middle School Engineering Technology Department!
The Engineering Technology classes emphasize three basic design principles 1. RESEARCH 2. DESIGN and 3. BUILD (RDB). We believe in keeping students engaged with S.T.E.M activities, creating hands on real world learning environment, and providing a rigorous curriculum. We are preparing students to be college and career ready for the 21st century, developing life long learners and be preparing them for a global community.

COURSES:  The Engineering Technology Program offers diverse curriculum including engineeringdrafting (CAD), manufacturing, graphic design, and robotics. Students will be engaged with hands on activities like: building model bridges, model dragster cars, using flight simulators and other critical thinking and problem solving activities.
