FTIS Names Keith Faust as Asst. Superintendent

The Fort Thomas Independent Schools has selected Keith Faust as the new assistant superintendent for teaching and learning. He is currently the principal at Woodfill Elementary School, a position he has held since 2011.

Faust’s career in education began as an elementary teacher at McDonald Elementary School in Georgetown, SC, where he taught for two years. After moving to Northern Kentucky, Faust joined the faculty at Woodfill Elementary in 2000 as an elementary teacher. He advanced to administration as the Assistant Principal at Highlands Middle School in 2006, where he served for five years.

Faust earned his bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Thomas More College and his master’s degree in Education and Rank I in Instructional Leadership from Xavier University.

Superintendent Brian Robinson stated, “After 11 years as the Woodfill principal, in addition to serving as assistant principal at Highlands Middle School, a teacher both in FTIS and in diverse school systems, and a highly respected member of the district leadership team, Mr. Faust is more than prepared to be an exceptional addition to our executive leadership team. Our interview team was quite impressed with his ability to articulate a vision for our next steps forward.”

Faust added, “I’m excited to have the opportunity to serve the district as our next assistant superintendent of teaching and learning.  I want to thank my family for supporting me in this journey, and I look forward to working alongside all of our schools to help them meet their goals.”

Faust will fill the position vacated by Bill Bradford. He will begin serving as the assistant superintendent of teaching and learning on July 1, 2022.
