It’s time to make room for another state championship memento in the trophy case at Highlands High School.
And we can’t wait to do it!
Congratulations to the boys and girls swim and dive teams at Highlands High School for winning the combined state championship this weekend in Lexington.
They performed brilliantly and trained so hard all year long to be successful on the diving board and in the pool for the state competition.
Well done to all! Enjoy the championship.

Alongside our partners at the Fort Thomas Education Foundation, we loved bringing two of Kathy's daughters to the Central Office to surprise her with the much-deserved recognition!
Mrs. Eaton works as an administrative assistant focused on facilities and transportation in our District, and we can't wait to celebrate more at the Nesties in April.
Alongside our partners at the Fort Thomas Education Foundation, it was such a thrill to travel to Moyer and surprise Mrs. Sipples with such a deserving honor.
Mrs. Sipples serves as an instructional assistant and also prioritizes our Mustangs' safety as a crossing guard along Highland Avenue both before and after school.
Congratulations! We can't wait to celebrate at the Nesties in April.

We are very eager to see you in the gymnasium at Highlands High School this evening (Friday, January 16th) for a boys basketball tripleheader (Freshmen, JV and Varsity) as the Bluebirds take on the Covington Catholic Colonels. It should be a fabulous environment for basketball in Fort Thomas and make sure to bring as much upbeat energy to the gym as you can muster!

It was such a great morning at Moyer, as sixteen spelling champions from 4th and 5th grade classrooms ventured into the cafeteria to compete against one another in the Moyer Spelling Bee.
Fifth grader 𝐒𝐚𝐢𝐯𝐢 𝐉𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐡 𝐑𝐚𝐦 spelled "Frankenstein" correctly to be crowned champion and advance to Districts, while 𝐄𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐇𝐢𝐧𝐞, also a fifth grader, achieved a very impressive runner-up finish.
What stood out about the Spelling Bee was the incredible support that classmates extend to one another--making and displaying encouraging signs in the audience and cheering one another on as they ventured to the microphone to spell complex words brilliantly. It's yet another example of a very uplifting culture at the Ranch.
Congratulations to all of our spellers and best of luck to Saivi at Districts!
A state championship in Pom.
A state runner-up finish in Hip Hop.
The Highlands High School varsity dance team performed brilliantly at the state competition and brought two trophies back to Fort Thomas.
This is such a talented and dedicated group of dancers and coaches! We are so proud.

It is great to see everybody together again in the classrooms and hallways of our five schools. We hope Winter Break was safe and enjoyable.
Dropoff today was full of smiles and high fives, which is just the kind of enthusiasm we are accustomed to seeing and the positive vibes have set us on an optimal course for the new semester.
Happy New Year and let's have a fantastic 2026 in Fort Thomas!

Highlands High School senior 𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐧 has been admitted to Yale University with a full, four-year QuestBridge National College Match Scholarship. On receiving news of the scholarship, Deaton said, “QuestBridge has given me a life-changing opportunity to explore a frontier of education I never would have had access to. I would like to thank the community that has and will continue to support me." This year, QuestBridge’s 55 college partners matched with 2,550 Finalists, who are recognized as Match Scholarship Recipients.
Counselor 𝐋𝐚𝐮𝐫𝐚 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐳𝐥𝐞𝐫 said, "Warren is a driven and passionate learner. I am excited for the opportunities he will have as a QuestBridge Scholarship winner." Warren is ranked 5th in his class and by the time he graduates, he will have taken 16 Advanced Placement classes. Warren is involved in theatre, academic team, book club, National Honor Society, model U.N., and he is a founding member of the Science National Honor Society. He also volunteers at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Fort Thomas. Warren plans to double major in Philosophy and Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology with the goal of one day becoming an oncologist with a special interest in medical ethics.
“This year’s Match Scholarship Recipients embody excellence in so many ways, and we're excited to support them as they continue to dream big,” said Ana Rowena Mallari, Co-Founder and CEO of QuestBridge. “Since QuestBridge’s founding over 30 years ago, we've witnessed the incredible impact our Scholars can make in their lives, families, and communities, and we know that this year's students will make a positive impact, too.”
Each Match Scholarship Recipient receives early admission and a full four-year scholarship to a QuestBridge college partner, ensuring for these students and their families that an education at a top college is affordable. The Match Scholarship — provided by the school — is made up of a generous financial aid package that covers the full cost of attendance, including tuition, housing and food, books and supplies, and travel expenses. The Match Scholarship does not include loans or a parental contribution.
This year’s Match Scholarship Recipients represent all 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia, as well as the territories of American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, and Puerto Rico. These students become the first QuestBridge Scholars for the Class of 2030. Many more Finalists will become QuestBridge Scholars through QuestBridge Regular Decision or other admission rounds. All Finalists who ultimately matriculate to QuestBridge college partners join a community of over 35,000 QuestBridge Scholars and Alumni worldwide.
The QuestBridge National College Match has successfully connected more than 19,000 students with full scholarships at some of the nation’s best colleges. Through programming and partnerships with top colleges, graduate schools, and leading companies, QuestBridge helps its Scholars realize their full potential at every stage of life.
