𝐌𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐋𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥! How about that for a fantastic achievement to celebrate?
Principal Peter Winkler made the special announcement at Friday's all-school assembly, known as the Mustang Roundup, and asked, "What is a Lighthouse? It shows the way."
Lighthouse certification recognizes Moyer's world-class performance in implementing the 𝐿𝑒𝑎𝑑𝑒𝑟 𝑖𝑛 𝑀𝑒 program in virtually every facet of teaching and learning at the Ranch. A foundational premise is that everyone at Moyer can blossom as a leader, and 𝐿𝑒𝑎𝑑𝑒𝑟 𝑖𝑛 𝑀𝑒 concepts have become woven into the very fabric of what it means to be a Moyer Mustang on a daily basis.
Think of Lighthouse certification as the equivalent of becoming an Eagle Scout in the 𝐿𝑒𝑎𝑑𝑒𝑟 𝑖𝑛 𝑀𝑒 program.
There are only ~700 Lighthouse schools around the world, and we have two in Fort Thomas! Woodfill Elementary achieved Lighthouse distinction in 2025.
An accomplishment of this magnitude can only come about from an exemplary team effort. Thank you to our students, staff, teachers, administrators and to our wonderful families and surrounding community members for their shared vision and dedication to excellence.
